Mr Kow Chin Tat

Hello! My name is Chin Tat and I graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Aeronautical Engineering.

I am currently a research assistant in the Atmospheric Dispersion team, and my work deals with the following:

1. Derivation of ingestion exposure pathways, conducting dose and radiological impact assessment for routine operations and accident scenarios at nuclear facilities
2. Preliminary investigation of radionuclide migration in the environment and transfer factors for both at grade and underground nuclear power plants, as well as radioactive waste facilities

For my honour’s thesis, I conducted an experimental investigation of the effects of ply-orientation on thin-ply quasi-isotropic carbon-fibre epoxy composite laminates.

I am always keen to learn more about ongoing research in the nuclear scene, composites and aviation. Feel free to with me at kchintat@nus.edu.sg.
