I am Shermila D/O N Kumar, a Research Associate in the Radiation Physiology team led by Dr. Tang Feng Ru. I have extensive experience in molecular biology, stem cell culture, and protein purification. I have contributed to projects involving induced pluripotent and mesenchymal stem cells, viral genetics, and clinical studies on healthy aging. My technical expertise spans advanced wet lab techniques and bioinformatics tools. Currently, my research focuses on the biological effects of low-dose-rate and chronic radiation exposure. Using mice models, I investigate threshold doses and molecular mechanisms of radiation-induced damage across developmental stages and demographic groups. My work aims to inform safety standards and therapeutic strategies for at-risk populations.
