My work in the radiation physiology team encompasses using mice as a model to understand how various organs are impacted by low dose, chronic radiation, with a focus on reproductive organs. We use proteomics-based approaches such as liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and western blotting, as well as immunohistochemistry to uncover potential radiation biomarkers.
Previously in my PhD work, I have had technical experience with atomic force microscopy, confocal imaging, ELISA, and protein expression/purification with human cell line (HEK293-EBNA).
