Being a trained medical physicist in a radiobiology team means I look out for the dosimetry aspects of the team. Other than calibrating and calculating doses, I also work on enhancing our capabilities, by building an in-house AI system that can tell the dose you have received by analysing images of the chromosomes from your blood, also known as the dicentric chromosome assay. On the research side, I work to investigate the effects of chronic low dose radiation on the damage repair pathways.
